Become a PhotosClaires beta tester

Before you start

• work only with a copy of your export and keep the original untouched;
• finish downloading and extracting every Takeout archive before the test;
• run the test on a computer; a recent version of Chrome or Edge is required to try the organized copy;
• for a modest export, allow about 10 to 15 minutes for the scan and your feedback; it may take longer depending on its size and your computer's performance;
• the optional copy may take much longer for a large export and requires enough free disk space.

Your browser reads the selected files locally: PhotosClaires uploads neither media nor JSON files. The copy is written to a new folder that you choose.

What we want to verify

1. The scan completes without assistance.
2. The results and the _A-verifier folder are easy to understand.
3. In Chrome or Edge, the optional copy completes with COMPLETE.txt present and INCOMPLETE.txt absent.
4. A sample of copied media opens normally and the originals have not been modified.

PhotosClaires does not rewrite EXIF metadata or file-system dates, and it does not delete duplicates. A negative result or a blocker is just as useful to us as a successful test.

Please provide only your operating system, browser, an approximate file-count range, whether the scan and copy completed, a clarity score from 1 to 5 and your main difficulty.
